I have been going through a bit of a difficult patch crafting wise, i am feeling very stuck and unsure about which direction i can go in next, if any. So it makes me feel that little bit better when i get some approval from my Etsy peers, just to keep me keep moving albeit quite slowly.

Before i went on my holiday i noticed that a few of my Matryoshka doll hair goodies had got picked for several Etsy treasuries. I have been fascinated with these dolls since i was a little un, we had a set which i used to play with for hours!

Buttons and the use of wonderful Japanese fabrics adorned with Russian dolls, are incredibly popular on Etsy, so i try very hard to source different fabrics regularly, and make my pictures as colourful as possible...a girls gotta raise her game you know!

Here are the collections, the first is wonderfully curated by the lovely therainbowroom

The second which is amazing, was put together by NiuTaller thank you so much:)

I had to go searching for Russian doll inspired creations on Etsy, these beauties are all from UK sellers:

luxedeluxe is a bit of an inspiration for me, she is at this point in time, the UK's top seller on Etsy, i love this piece:
One of my favourite Etsians is Champignons her work is just amazing..as demonstrated :
hippyofdoom is a super talented artist and a really lovely gal to boot, these shoes rule all, so pretty! (i really want these):

I adore this jute bag by Beaky and really she is the queen of Russian Doll inspired creations, her shop is soo tempting to me:)

Ooh la la!

Hello good people:)

We are back from our jaunt to the fabulous Paris, still recovering if truth be told...we pounded the pavements like good uns! We emptied our wallets in many cafes and occasionally in the fine boutiques, twas my birthday after all!
I would recommend the lovely Galeries Lafayette tis not for the faint hearted though, the fashionistas with bulging bags need to be seen to be believed!

We have been to Paris several times before so it was fun to explore new districts and avoid the tourist sights..we could actually hear the birds singing as we walked around the locality of our hotel, a boutique dwelling just off the Place de la Nation:)

Not to far from our hotel was the promenade plantée
Such an amazing way to see some of the city, so quiet and pretty too. It was a stretch of disused railway line, much of it along a viaduct, converted into an elevated walkway giving you a birds eye view of the surrounding city, stretching 4.5km, just amazing.
This graffiti greeted us at the beginning of the walk and further along some amazing views::

On our last day we visited the Pere-lachaise Cemetery one of the worlds largest cemeteries, beautifully atmospheric and so green. Well known as the final resting place of Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison and many more notables. We decided to sit and chill with a drink rather than troop around. The perfect decision for our aching feet!
I would love to give a big thanks to the wonderful ladies at parispastrylab on Etsy who gave me tons of advice for our trip:)
Au revoir mes amis!

Today i am starting to get very excited indeed about our upcoming trip to Paris, we plan to take funky photos galore.
I love shopping with a passion, shame my purse does not agree, however we plan to take a trip to le printemps and Galaries Lafayette two amazing department stores in Paris, they really is stunning. This picture was taken on our last visit to Galaries Lafayette a few years ago:

Also adding to the excitement, are the prospect of seeing two HUGE rabbit's (pink and red) currently positioned outside the store; check this out ParisDailyPhoto !

The wonderful jessjamesjake chose my pink flower clips to join her lovely collection.
I really struggle with my pictures sometimes, so i am always amazed when i do get picked for treasuries..ace!
